At the Academy of Healthcare Management Training we can offer medical courses covering all your needs. The aim of the course is to provide the potential First Aider with the elementary practical skills to manage a medical or trauma emergency situation calmly in the work or home environment, until professional help arrives. Includes: Resusci-aid Key Ring, Wallet Card and Certificate Additional optional Advanced First Aid Skills offered as stand alone modules or attached to the Level 3 First Aid Course. EMERGENCY AWARENESS AND CPR FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN This 2-3 hour talk for children, introduces the learners to the various emergencies that may occur in the school or in the home. It equips the student with basic skills to deal with these emergencies calmly until professional help arrives. The programme is presented to the schools at times to accommodate the school programme. PAEDIATRIC EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IN THE HOME This 3-4 hour talk introduces the parent/guardian or domestic assistant to common hazards to children and babies in and around the home, providing him/her with the basic skills and understanding to manage these common paediatric emergencies and to perform paediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Includes: Resusci-aid Key Ring, Notes, and Certificate Group talk on request. FIRE SAFETY AND THE USE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS This ½ day course introduces the Fire Safety Officer in industry, to the causes of fires, fire prevention and the use of fire extinguishers. As well as these formal certificated courses, the Academy also offers skills development and/or team building group presentations. These are all very practical onsite-based programmes designed to teach basic LIFESAVING/ACCIDENT PREVENTION skills. The above includes: Notes & Attendance Certificate.
