Beier Safety Footwear operates from Beier Industries’ South African head office and factory in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, 15km inland from the east coast city of Durban. New markets are constantly being pursued. Durban is home to one of Africa’s biggest, busiest ports and also provides access to other major freight routes locally and abroad (road, rail, air).
Beier Safety Footwear (Pty) Ltd. forms part of Beier Industries (Pty) Ltd. and is the leading supplier of safety footwear in South Africa, producing a wide range of safety shoes and boots under the popular Bova and Sisi brand names.
Deliveries are made daily and footwear is exported to 17 African countries, the Middle East, The United Kingdom, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

In addition, we export our footwear to 19 African countries and the Middle East, constantly expanding into new markets. BOVA is manufactured in an ISO:9001 accredited factory, utilising cutting edge technology and innovation. In this way, what we release into the market performs with the purpose for which it was engineered. We explore the varied dangers inherent in an industry and then engineer the safety footwear purposed with protecting employees within those environments. PASA approved styles are ergonomically designed, manufactured and tested in order to increase overall foot health and reduce the incidence of foot discomfort as approved by qualified podiatrists. Made from a combination of polyester and wool and treated with Ultra-Fresh, the top sock has anti-microbial properties that fight fungal and bacterial infections. The top sock responds to temperature and weight and moulds to the shape of each wearer’s foot. The Poron insert at the front and heel of the foot provides optimum support where it is needed most. Benefits of this top sock include: shock absorption, a reduction in aches and fatigue and increased comfort. Moulded from a thermoplastic rubber gel material, the top sock delivers high cushion energy before and after compression, resulting in improved vascular micro-circulation of the foot.
