CTS are also networked with other training providers and are able to project manage courses and interventions in various other fields and disciplines; including all Legislative and SHEQ training courses. CTS are also well established in machine specific training material development as well as unit standard aligned training material and assessment guide development. The attached Course Prospectus provides an overview of the various services and interventions that CTS offers. However, it must be noted that due to the ability of CTS to customise training to individual business needs, the Prospectus serves purely as a guide. All CTS training is outcomes-based and unit standard aligned, comprising the following: Self tests, Formative Assessments (theory/practical), role play or demonstration and Summative assessments. CTS considers itself a front-runner when it comes to state-of-the-art technology used in delivering training and assessing. All the lecture room training is delivered via a laptop and proxima projector, using the theory information of the training material as a visual tool to make it easier for the learners to grasp and understand the content of the course. Any machine-specific training & assessing is conducted in the factory/production environment of the company, which enables the learner to simulate what the learner has learned on the actual machinery/equipment that they operate. Paul has been involved in training for the past 17 years, in the engineering field but embarked on the idea of onsite training in 2004, which grew to the point where he decided to form a business of his own. Paul has become well recognised in the training environment, especially through the food and beverage industry, due to the exposure through his previous employment. Sharon works in the Technical Writing Division as a module reviewer and quality controls the training material developed and any internal designing of training material. Over the past 12 years CTS has been awarded accreditation with merSETA, FoodBev SETA and is currently awaiting accreditation with the CHIETA. CTS took delivery of the new Laser unit this week and is now including this intervention in their Prospectus. This training intervention is aimed specifically at mechanical/electrical technicians and artisans who are responsible for conducting laser alignment at the workplace. Exciting new development within CTS with expansion taking place in the Electrical department to a new premises, located 100 metres from our existing main centre. This new centre will be able to accommodate up to 15 learners in the Electrical field and up to 5 learners in the Electronics field. A more one-on-one approach can be facilitated for the learners to receive a more personal interaction and focused practical learning.
