Rumdel Cape is a privately owned, multidisciplinary civil engineering construction company operating throughout Southern Africa. We have experience in delivering complex projects including roads, dams and incrementally launched bridges, and have the capability of executing a wide range of other civil engineering infrastructure projects. These two phases were executed concurrently and had a combined value of R 1,2 billion. Rumdel Cape has its roots in WJM Construction which was established in Cape Town in WJM Construction (Zululand) expands into the Transkei and the former provinces of Natal and the Eastern Cape. The first directors of Rumdel Construction are John Rumble, Barry De Lacy, Peter De Lacy and Hendrik Boshoff. So many young students scour the web looking for personality tests to decide what line of work they should follow once they leave school. And it’s interesting how so many grads end up in jobs that they are completely unprepared for. At Rumdel, the safety of our workers is our number one priority. We know that a safe worker, is a happy worker and a happy worker is a productive one. It has been reported that nearly 600 000 graduates remain unemployed and are looking to their families to support them. As the population of the planet continues to grow, the cities have become increasingly more dangerous. Accommodations have to be made to facilitate all of these people; i.e. to alleviate traffic, new roadways have to be built or existing ones need to be widened. Although South Africa is far from the installation of Smart Motorways we felt it best to get everyone up to speed, so to speak. It can be extremely rewarding to see the finished product of your time and effort, especially when it involves creating something as complex as a bridge or building.
