Since the inception of S&TP in 1984, we acted as representatives for Dow Corning Silicones. In 1995 we became agents for GE Silicones & GE Bayer Silicones which currently trade under the global corporate umbrella of Momentive Performance Materials. At present we trade as an independent Supplier/Producer of silicone and silicone solutions. We received our Kosher certification in 2006 followed by our Halaal certification in We have retained the status, updating it on a yearly basis. Fulfilling customer needs and demands is our biggest driver, and in March 2011 we received ISO 9001 accreditation from SABS and FSSC 22000 in 2015 to support our customer promise of delivering continuous quality products & exceptional service. We have been suppliers of silicone and acrylic sealants and adhesives to the South African market for 33 years and over this period of time; we have built a reputation of good quality product competitive prices. We have water based acrylic sealants for both the DIY and the professional markets. Will adhere to a wide variety of substrates, including concrete, masonry, glass, aluminium, glaze tiles, metals, painted or treated wooden surfaces and untreated wood. A silicone emulsion is a stable colloidal suspension consisting of silicone oil dispersed and held in water by an emulsifier. Silicone emulsions are economical, easy to use and excellent release agents for mechanical, rubber, wire and cable goods. They are also used as general-purpose release agents. In automotive rubber applications, silicone emulsions are used as release agents in the molding of automotive floor mats, shock mounts, fan belts and O-rings. In consumer goods, silicone emulsions perform as release agents in applications such as soles and heels for footwear and household products such as floor tiles. Examples of emulsions include butter and margarine, milk and cream, espresso, mayonnaise, the photo-sensitive side of photographic film, magmas and cutting fluid for metal working. Mould release agents for rubber (tyre) and metal castings in foundry applications.
